Parish Assembly nominations are open

The Parish Assembly is a good indicator of the vitality of a parish faith community.

Enniskeane and Desertserges parishioners nominated their first parish assembly in 2016.

People serve a three-year term in leadership and action in the parish.

This is a message from some of the members of the outgoing assembly.

You can nominate yourself or another online now at http://enniskeaneparish.ie/parish/index.php/2022-parish-assembly-nominations/

Nominations close on June 19th. Nominees will be contacted and invited to an Information Meeting for newly nominated members will be held in Castletown Church on Tuesday evening June 28th where everyone will meet and find out what’s involved so people can then decide to commit to it or not.

Is this your time?

Our Parish Assembly’s term of service is out since last year but they kindly agreed to stay involved until this year — to allow for the impact of Covid19.

So the parish is asking everyone in our faith community to think about nominating themselves or someone else to be a member.

This video shows the many people who have been involved — and are welcome to serve again if they wish. But we need fresh ideas, new energy, more inspiration, too!

The weekend of June 14th is your Assembly Nomination weekend and nominations close a week later on the 19th. We’ll have nomination papers at all the Masses – and you can also nominate online on this website by clicking here.
