May he Rest In Peace ... See MoreSee LessA cloud of sadness has descended on our parish and we are reminded of the frailty of human life. Pray for the eternal peaceful rest of Conor Lordan, Liscroneen, who died on Sunday while doing what his heart always did best -- giving hands-on help to someone who was affected by the storms.
Our hearts go out to his wife, their children, and all his extended family. May the God of all consolation be close to them with his help.

Call it Ophelia! Call it Brian! It won't stop the Stations at Enniskeane Parish!
On Monday evening, as Ophelia was moving away, Barry and Ann O'Driscoll hosted their Station Mass at Cashelmore. We had light and power all the way through Mass. Then a minute after Mass finished, the power went out!
On Thursday morning, there was no power in Ballinard where Carmel and Denis Deasy were preparing for their Station Mass. One hour before Mass was to begin, the light came on!
Not too far away –– at Currycrowley — Jim and Sandra Lawton were preparing in the dark for their first Station Mass in their home on Friday eve. On Thursday eve, as if another answer to prayer and faith, the power came back on, then flickered off again an hour before Mass on Friday, then came back on and stayed!
Many thanks to all the households who are hosting Station Masses ---- and special thanks to the people who went to so much trouble this week to remember that the Lord is with us -- even in the midst of our storms.

4 days agoBob CoughlinThis is such a wonderful tradition. I haven't heard of it in most parishes in the USA (I live in Ohio). We did have masses in our home when I lived in Kentucky, where there were very few Catholics and few Catholic churches.
