Enniskeane Parish’s newly installed pipe organ will be played at 7.30pm Mass today. (One set of pipes left to install, 622 pipes ready to play – hear these this eve!)
The specially printed souvenir Certificates which record the dedications of the pipes in the organ are being printed and delivered. A few hundred have already been posted … but if you have not received yours don’t panic, please! The remainder will be processed and posted in the coming two weeks.
(It happen that some people who have sponsored more than one pipe will receive some ahead of the others. This is because the pipes are assigned at random.)
Thanks to all who have sponsored pipes in the organ.
In the dreary economic state of this country it’s all too easy to loose sight of the goodness of people. There’s a real spirit of goodness, Godliness and generosity evident in our parish and its friends. This spirit was never more evident than in the tremendous response of people to the installation of the pipe organ in Enniskeane Church.
As of now, 492 of the pipes have been sponsored and dedicated to named individuals and families. That’s nearly three-quarters of the 678 pipes. Accompanying donations have amounted to over €18,000 so far.
The word ‘thanks’ seems inadequate in the face of such goodness but the Lord has his own eternal way of blessing people whose hearts reflect his kindness to us.
As of today, almost three quarters of the pipes in the pipe organ at Enniskeane church have been dedicated to people.
Many thanks to all the people who have contributed the €30 per dedication for each pipe and also to those who have given donations towards the cost of installing the organ.
The two main keyboards (called manuals) will be installed tomorrow Oct 3rd.
Meanwhile the choir area is almost ready, too. Painting of that area is next. Then, floor covering …
