But what is the Church’s teaching?

There is a mountain of commentary and information available dealing with the Irish government’s proposal to ask the people to remove the Eight Amendment to the Constitution by referendum. If the referendum is passed, the government proposes to then pass laws that will significantly widen the availability of legal abortion in Ireland.

So what does the Catholic Church really teach about this? Where can the authentic teaching be found?

This series of newsletter is prepared by the Irish Catholic Bishops Conference and each two-age issue addresses the issues involved in clear and understandable language. You can download and read them here.

Weekend Masses on March 3/4

Weekend Mass times in Enniskeane Parish:-
As of now (3.30 pm Sat) the snow is melting around Enniskeane and Ballineen and a slow thaw is happening.
On Sat eve the two evening Masses will be celebrated as normal (6pm at Ahiohill, 7.30pm at Enniskeane).
However: (a) put your safety first in deciding whether you wish to attend. There’s a mix of slush and unmelted snow in places under foot. (b) the obligation to be at Mass in these circumstances is waived.
A further update regarding Sunday’s Masses will be given later this evening.
