Bishop John Buckley to lead Mass of Organ dedication on Dec 7th.

This is for the whole parish. Everyone is welcome to help and to enjoy it.

The programme is as follows:-

Fri Dec 7th. Mass of dedication and blessing at 7.30pm. Principal concelebrant is Bishop John Buckley.

Mass begins with the blessing of the pipe organ. (Enniskeane church choir will lead the singing of hymns, accompanied by the pipe organ.) Immediately after Mass, we have a short recital with organist Colin Nicholls, retired organist at St. Finbarre’s Cathedral, Cork, and former music teacher at the Cork School of Music.

After the recital, tea/coffee and snacks will be served in a marquee in the church grounds. (Parishioners are invited to bring snacks to share. These can be dropped off at the marquee from 6.30pm. Hospitality is being organised by members of the Parish Assembly.)

All Organ pipes are sponsored! Many thanks.

This is good news for our parish but I’m sure a few may be disappointed. All the 678 pipes being installed in the pipe organ of our parish church in Enniskeane have been sponsored!

Sincere thanks to all who have supported the organ installation. In spite of these being challenging times for everyone, people have shown great generosity. May the good Lord bless all who have their names on the pipes and may he reward the sponsors with his kindness.

By coincidence, the last of the pipes are also being installed this week by Padraig O’Donovan.

The organ will be blessed and dedicated by Bishop Buckley on Dec 7th.
